Good Morning Clarksville! I am Bill Harrison, candidate for City Council Ward 7; I want to thank all the citizens, who have come out to vote during the early voting. I know that it may have been difficult to get to the polls, due to the sudden flurry of water line repairs, and prompt paving of roads that have been neglected for the past four years. It is apparent that the current administration wants to leave a lasting image that; they care about your neighborhood and have listened to the ongoing debates regarding the infrastructure of Clarksville. Personally all the road construction has hindered my travel in around our neighborhood of Ward 7 and many citizens may have also been hindered or dissuaded in their travels whether to work, to the grocery or to the polls.
This Tuesday, November 2nd, is Election Day. If you have not voted I encourage you to make time on Election Day. The polls are open from 7am to 7pm and you can reference your voter’s card for the additional information you may need. It is difficult for citizens to endure the irritation of the road construction that has been initiated with extreme immediacy, but stand strong and come out and vote. If you need assistance in getting to the polls and you have TennCare, you can contact; NCHRA Public Transit at either of the following phone numbers 931-647-4602 or 931-553-8108. The Clarksville Transit Authority has all the information regarding their routes and fares at the following website; www.cityofclarksville.com/transit/routes.php
It is our right as Americans to participate in government by the election of leaders. Abraham Lincoln said, "...Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth." Our soldiers are fighting for our way of life and the protection of our rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Show them your appreciation by exercising your right to vote on November 2nd.
